Fall Checklist
It’s that time of year when the weather gets cooler and the fall activities begin. It’s no secret that I love the fall and everything that goes along with it. Adding kiddos to the mix has only increased the fun for our family as it has opened up new adventures and possibilities. Of course I still love a good pizza night and spooky movie with my main man (My baby daddy. My Ride or die. xoxo)! I try to plan a haunted house date night every year, but the husband hasn’t gone for that one yet. But I’ll keep asking each year, because I’m no quiter! (And then abruptly have a panic attack the year he finally agrees. I’m such a chicken!)
A couple of our favorite family activities to do each year, are to go to a pumpkin patch as well as to a farmers market or two! I love to get pictures of the boys with the pumpkins, and we all love to load the car down with the orange-treats-of-joy. My husband completely indulges my pumpkin hoarding tendencies this time of year (Thanks, babe!). Farmers markets are a year round thing here in Houston, but they are way more fun to attend when the temps aren’t scorching! We love the fresh produce and the live music!
Now that we are well into October my family is gearing up to go to one of the local farms that have fall themed activities. There are two close to us and they both have pumpkins, rides for the kids, and animals! Visits to these farms are always a day of fun. (Locals, I recommend 7 Acre Wood & P6 Farms.) Since we are still operating around a baby nap schedule this year, we will just make a morning of it and then be home in time for lunch!
Oh how I love the fall and our family traditions. I can hardly wait until the boys are old enough to watch Hocus Pocus with me and the hubs. Until then, we will stick with Mickey Mouse Halloween specials and building our Trader Joes chocolate cookie haunted houses. If you are looking to get inspired for fall activities with your family, I am attaching a Fall Checklist full of ideas and suggestions. Thanks for reading along and happy fall y’all.
xoxo
