The TBR list: Summer Addition

When’s the last time you read a good book? Maybe you’ve been wanting to but you don’t know where to start. Maybe you just need a good suggestion. Well you are in luck. The reading list to get you through the rest of your summer is here.

“I do believe something very magical can happen when you read a good book.”
— J.K. Rowling

It is no secret that I am an avid reader. I am always reading something. Thanks to today’s technology, it is easier than ever to have access to a good book. A couple clicks of a button and the next best seller is on your device of choice. (Though, in my opinion, nothing is better than a good book you can hold in your hand.) My genre of choice has shifted throughout the years, but I always find myself coming back to a YA Romance. It’s the type of story that gives you all the feels.

Most recently, I tend to reach for a light thriller. I say light because I. Am. Such. A. Chicken. Heavy on the chicken part. I also have an active imagination. (Oh yes, Hunter definitely gets this from me.) The combination of the two is detrimental when night falls and I am trying to sleep. Every little creak or shadow has me on edge! (Hello adrenaline. Bye-Bye sleepy time.) So, though I would enjoy a good make-you-sweat thriller or even horror genre, it is not worth the read because I would pay for it for many nights to come. (Side note: Halloween is my favorite Holiday. Ironic, isn’t it?)

The big picture here is that I love to read. I love getting caught up in watching a love story unfold, traveling to another land, escaping the crazy ruler of a dystopian society, or figuring out who done it. I have been on many a journey and have quite the collection of book BFFs and boyfriends (sorry, hunny.) All that said, I am your what-to-read guru.

For those looking for a book recommendation, look no further. I am sharing (and linking) my favorite reads from this summer. (Okay, some might have been a preggo read. Honestly, the time period all kind of blurs together. Thank you hormones and sleep deprivation.) If your are looking for a specific genre or something that didn’t make this list, you can always DM me on instagram (@bwynne) for a recommendation. I am always happy to chat about a good read.

If you read one of these, or if you already have, I’d love to hear what you think! I’m also always looking for a great recommendation! Drop one in the comments if you have a book to recommend. Happy reading.

XOXO
